Melody Nguyen

Hi there, I'm Melody!

Product engineer and Georgia Tech master's student. I build at the intersection of AI, energy, and health, and I teach what I build.

About Me

I'm a product technologist with three years of research at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford, building ML pipelines, climate analysis tools, and data platforms for the Department of Energy's renewable energy grid work. This past summer I returned to Stanford as a Lead AI Instructor, teaching Python, AI Agents, and Machine Learning to over 100 students. I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at Georgia Tech while working as a Business Analyst and Product Owner at Healthfirst. I build at the intersection of AI, health, and climate. My honors thesis examined the energy consumption of large language models, which sits right at the center of everything I care about: building technology responsibly.

Beyond the Code

Outside of work I enjoy running, training mixed martial arts, and reading fantasy novels. I grew up in Arizona, moved to San Jose, California with family from Vietnam, and now call New York City home.
My love language is cooking and sharing recipes with my huge family. Over the years, I found creativity through film, painting and photography.
